About moodebles

I’ve been making hemp products in Louisville since 2016.

When I started Steve’s Goods, the hemp industry was a mess of big promises and thin products. No COAs, or COAs that didn’t match what was in the jar. “Full spectrum” that turned out to be mostly carrier oil. A lot of copy that read like a supplement brand cosplaying as a pharmaceutical company — words like “clinically proven” on things that had never been in a clinic.

I spent years building a different kind of brand. Third-party lab results, batch by batch. Lot numbers that match. Dosing that makes sense. Copy that uses “supports” because we’re not your doctor — and we don’t pretend otherwise.

That’s Steve’s Goods. It still runs out of Louisville and I’m still proud of it.

moodebles is the next thing.

Why this brand exists

In November 2026, the Hemp Industry Compliance Act — H.R. 5371 — went into effect.

That law closed off the part of the hemp market that had been operating in a gray zone: Delta-8 THC, THCa, HHC, and various synthetic cannabinoids. Products that were technically derived from hemp but created intoxicating effects through processing or synthesis that Congress decided, eventually, didn’t belong under the farm-bill umbrella.

When that law hit, a lot of brands had a problem. Their top-selling SKUs were out of compliance overnight.

I didn’t have that problem. Not because I’m particularly prescient, but because I’d been making clean-formula hemp gummies for years already. Pure CBD, minor cannabinoids at non-intoxicating doses, paired with functional botanicals — L-Theanine, Ashwagandha, Melatonin, Saffron, Rhodiola. Nothing synthetic, nothing that required a legal gray zone to exist. And the formula was THC-free from day one — 0.0% total THC, lab-verified non-detect every batch. Not a compliance hedge. The founding principle.

moodebles is the brand I built around those formulas. Not because November 12 happened — I had this planned — but because that date made the question the market asks itself a lot easier to answer. Which brands can you actually trust after the dust settles?

We’re one of them.

What makes moodebles different

It’s not the compliance angle, even though that’s real and it matters. It’s the stack.

Any brand can put 25mg of CBD in a gummy. CBD alone is useful but it has a narrower effect window than most marketing copy admits. The question we asked when formulating was: what else does the body need at this moment?

For Calm, the answer was L-Theanine at 100mg — the amino acid that makes tea feel different from coffee, backed by consistent research on alpha-wave brain activity — and Ashwagandha KSM-66 at 100mg, the standardized root-extract form most commonly used in modern ashwagandha clinical research.

For Sleep, the answer was CBN at 5mg and Melatonin at 3mg. We use 3mg — lower than most over-the-counter products — because we believe it’s sufficient for most people. Chamomile extract rounds it out with its evidence-supported calming properties.

For Bright, the headline ingredient is affron® saffron — Pharmactive’s standardized extract, the form used in the clinical trials, 28mg at the studied dose. Paired with Rhodiola rosea for morning resilience and L-Theanine to smooth the edge.

Every ingredient is in there because it has a track record. Not because it sounds like wellness.

The COA promise

Every batch we make is tested for total THC by a third-party lab — non-detect, every time. The federal legal standard under H.R. 5371 is 0.3% post-decarboxylation. We come in at 0.0%. That’s the per-batch test we run and publish.

The COA for your lot is on our COA page. The lot number on the bottom of your jar matches the lot number on the lab report. If they don’t match, email me.

A full panel — heavy metals, pesticides, microbials — is run on the production lot of hemp input that feeds those batches. We don’t post the full panel on every batch page automatically, but it’s available for any lot on request. Email steve@moodebles.com with your lot number and we’ll send it.

The company behind it

moodebles is owned by Steve’s Goods, Inc., incorporated in Kentucky. I’m Steve Schultheis, the founder. I started making hemp products because I wanted a better option for myself and found out other people wanted it too.

We use HempData to verify and badge our COAs — the same compliance API I built for the hemp industry. You’ll see the badge in the footer. It means something.

We don’t have a PR department, a wellness influencer on retainer, or a story about a grandfather’s secret hemp farm in the mountains. We have the COAs, the formulas, and a decade of making this in Louisville.

That’s the whole thing.
