The Stack

CBD 15mg A lower dose than our Calm and Sleep formulas — intentional. In Bright, CBD plays a supporting role: softening the body’s baseline while the mood-active ingredients carry more of the effect. At 15mg, this is a gentle anchor, not a feature.

L-Theanine 50mg The same amino acid in Calm, at half the dose. In the morning context, L-Theanine pairs with whatever caffeine you’re taking — smoothing the edge of the spike and extending the working window. 50mg in the morning is a light, functional dose that works with your routine rather than against it.

Saffron affron® 28mg This is the headline ingredient. affron® is Pharmactive Biotech’s clinically-studied saffron extract, standardized to lepticrosalide — the specific compound the research consistently points to for mood support. There are now more than five randomized controlled trials on affron® supporting its role in promoting a brighter mood and supporting emotional wellbeing.†

We use the branded form specifically so the dose is consistent and the clinical research applies. Generic saffron extract is not the same thing. 28mg is the dose used in the trials.

1. What does “brighter mood” actually mean? In practice, the goal is a morning that starts a notch above baseline — more willing to engage, less flat. That’s what the formula is built for. It’s not euphoria. It’s more like the difference between a good sleep night and a rough one, applied to your starting state.

2. How long does it take to feel a difference? Saffron and Rhodiola are adaptogens and botanical actives that build with consistent use. Some people notice something in the first week. For most, the clearest effect shows up after 3-4 weeks of daily use.

3. Can I take Bright with my coffee? Yes. L-Theanine is the amino acid that already makes tea feel different from coffee — it works naturally alongside caffeine. Bright was designed with the coffee-in-the-morning user in mind.

4. What is affron® saffron? It’s Pharmactive Biotech’s clinically-standardized saffron extract. The “affron®” designation means the extract is standardized to lepticrosalide content — the active compound — not just the raw herb weight. This matters because unstandardized saffron can vary significantly in potency. The trials we reference used affron® specifically.

5. Is Rhodiola a stimulant? No. Rhodiola is classified as an adaptogen — it supports the body’s ability to handle stress rather than directly stimulating the nervous system. It won’t make you jittery or affect your sleep if taken in the morning.

6. Can I take Bright and Calm on the same day? Yes. Many customers take Bright in the morning and Calm in the afternoon. The combined CBD (25mg total) is low, and the other actives in each formula are different compounds with no known interaction concerns at these doses.

7. Is saffron safe? Saffron at supplement doses (under 30mg/day) has a strong safety profile in human trials. It is not the same as culinary saffron in large quantities.
